Latest update: May 7th, 2020.
On Friday March 27th, 2020, the IJsselland safety region adopted an emergency decree, which entered into force immediately. This regulation means that communal toilets, washrooms, and showers have now been declared a prohibited area and therefore must be closed off.
This means that our campsites with private sanitary facilities and accommodations with private showers and toilets are open to our guests, but you can also come with your camping equipment if you have a shower and toilet. (Of course, you and your guests must be in good health).
From the April 24th, the chemical toilet waste sites will also be open again.
Hopefully this decision will contribute to controlling the spread of the coronavirus (Covid-19).
De Koeksebelt Campsite is currently open for accommodations with private shower and toilet, campsites with private sanitary facilities, and regular campsites if you are self-sufficient.
On July 1st, 2020 all plots and accommodations will be open at De Koeksebelt Campsite.
The following facilities are currently open:
- The waste disposal sites for the chemical toilet
- Hot water available on the outside of each sanitary building
- Catering facilities: pick-up service for snacks and ice cream
- Camp shop: we deliver sandwiches and newspapers to order
The outdoor swimming pool will open on May 14th 2020. The shared sanitary facilities at the swimming pool will remain closed until July 1st 2020. We also follow the National Institute for Public Health and the Environment (RIVM) guidelines when using the swimming pool.
On July 1st, 2020, all shared sanitary facilities will open on the campsite.
We ensure like you are used to, good hygiene on our campsite. Naturally, we follow developments closely and follow the advice of the Dutch government, the National Institute for Public Health and the Environment (RIVM) and Hiswa/Recron. Think about this:
Extra hygienic conditions for employees
If you already have symptoms of illness, you must stay at home or if one of the people show symptoms of illness during the stay, the whole group must leave the campsite.
Avoid contact with other guests and/or employees as much as possible.
Questions should preferably be asked by email.
Please only have 1 person check-in and not with the whole family, please keep sufficient distance from our employees.
We prefer debit card payments.
Welcoming guests that are not part of your household is not allowed.
We trust that, by taking these measures together with you, we will still be able to offer you an enjoyable vacation.
We can imagine that you are uncertain as to whether you should cancel your vacation. We want to serve our guests as much as possible in these uncertain times. That is why we have drafted the following special conditions. These conditions apply to everyone, regardless of whether you have taken out cancellation insurance. De Koeksebelt Campsite reserves the right to change or suspend these special conditions at any time.
If you have taken out cancellation insurance yourself, please check the terms and conditions of your insurance before contacting us.
Cancellation insurance can be taken out up to 24 hours after booking, after that it is no longer possible to take out this insurance.
Bookings until June 30th 2020:
- The special conditions below only apply to reservations with a maximum stay of 21 nights.
A booking on a campsite pitch or an accommodation without sanitary facilities, with arrival date no later than June 30th, 2020, has the option of canceling the stay, whereby the (down) payment will be converted into a credit balance. This credit can be used for a new reservation, subject to the following conditions:
- The recreational voucher is valid for a period of 12 months from the original date of arrival. This means that you must have booked the replacement accommodation within 12 months of the original arrival date. This replacement stay must take place, subject to availability of accommodation or campsite, by September 30th, 2021 at the latest.
- If the new period is more expensive, you will have to pay the difference.
- If there is no availability on the desired date, you will not receive a refund of any money already paid. So book in time.
Bookings from July 1st, 2020:
For the time being, it looks like the campsite will be fully open after July 1st. All bookings with an arrival date after July 1st will continue for the time being. Keep an eye on this page for any updates. We follow the policy and advice of the government, the National Institute for Public Health and the Environment (RIVM), the IJsseland security region, and the industry association HISWA/RECRON.
